KPFK Newsroom Volunteers
KPFK’s news team is seeking new volunteers as writer/reporters. Those with writing or journalism experience and those with an interest in political science are encouraged to apply. Experience is not required, if you’re dedicated to investing your time to learn the process of writing and reporting a story you’re invited to apply as well.Volunteers should be able to spend at least one full day per week (M-F) in the newsroom.
Page2Pantry Assistant (Fridays 12:30-2:30pm)
We're currently interviewing volunteers to assist on KPFK’s healthy eating show, Page 2 Pantry. Volunteers will be responsible for occasional research assignments, preparing guests for on-air etiquette, recording each program, and answering phone calls for the program. The position requires some training, which KPFK will provide. This is a long term volunteer position. Please volunteer only if you can commit long term.
Radio Intifada Assistant (Thursdays 2:30-4:30pm)
We're interviewing volunteers to assist on the Middle East public affairs program, Radio Intifada. Volunteers will be responsible for preparing guests for on-air etiquette, recording each program, and answering phone calls for the program.
